NYFW Spring/Summer 10 : Davidelfin.

Posted in Uncategorized by modman on January 3, 2010

One of my (silly) New Years Resolutions is to stay away from black. Wait.. thats not right.. One of my resolutions is to add more color into my wardrobe. Thats much easier than the first since I cant possibly stay away from black.

Well, designer Diego David Domínguez González (aka. David Delfin) set a similar challenge for his Spring/Summer Collection: no black.  His color palette of white, navy and sea foam green was inspired by Polychromie of Le Corbusier. The strong colorblocking and tailoring bring new perspective and you definitely walk away with a sense of boldness and simplicity. Delfin is also known for his androgynous aesthetic, which you can definitely see in the SS2010 collection.

Attending the show at Bryant Park this past September was an amazing experience. Thanks to Kelly from Peoples Rev! The show was great, the clothes were thought-provoking (masculinity vs. femininity), and best of all, I got to chat with Kate Lanphear!

Here are a few images I shot during the show:

Those shoes could definitely kill. I’d die in them, but they’re gorgeous! I’m so jealous you got to go to Bryant Park runways!!
